To help you map your progress with learning Punjabi, this app also has a free word jumble game. Not only does it help you make the best of your leisure time, it also helps you learn new words quicker and better. You can test where you stand and realise how much more effort you need to put into the whole process.

The developers have thought out the user interface quite well. It is both neat and simply functional. The dichrome blue and white color combination gives it an elegant look indeed. The usage of shades of blue for different menus and interfaces makes the design stand out pretty well. The Punjabi keyboard has been designed very well too.

The idea of having only English audio pronunciations does not make sense logically. An English speaking person would be more interested in learning the Punjabi pronunciations instead. This comes off as a major drawback. Also, the app is a tad bit expensive- priced at $2.99 on the App Store.

Punjabi Dictionary from English is a handy app for anyone who knows English and is learning Punjabi. It is compatible with the iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone and requires iOS 6.0 or later versions. It has been optimised for the iPhone 5. Developed by Suchismita Mondal, this app is quite a useful tool.

Good: Word jumble game

Bad: No Punjabi pronunciation
